Bullock Investigations K9 team
Our team handler and supervisor is Sergeant Nick Gaviria. Nick is a Combat Vet serving with the United States Marine Corp, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. He was trained at AK9I in Carsville, Va as a Narcotics K-9 handler and recently attended Global K-9 Training Academy for recertification in Narcotics K-9 detection and certification in K-9 explosive detection. This giving him the rare distinction of being a dual K-9 handler.
Our Narcotics Detection, Patrol and Tracking is K-9 Papi. Papi is a 3 year old Dutch Shepherd that has trained and worked with Cpl Gaviria since AK9I in Virginia. He is trained in 5 different forms of narcotics and is certified to the standards of Law Enforcement K-9 Officers in Texas.
Our Explosive Detection and Tracking is K-9 Choco. Choco is a 4 year old Belgian malinois. He also received his original training at AK9I and was slated for work with D.O.D. he is certified to detect 13 different explosive odors; to include Firearms, ammunition, smokeless powder, TnT, C4, and ammonium nitrate. K-9 Choco is currently the only Certified Explosive Detection Canine in East Texas .
